while i was a resident of Missouri, everytime i drove the highways i thought, “that logo needs an update.”

THE STATE is more than just the river, OR “FLOW” in the logo’s design. here, the redesign nods to a holistic representation of the state and it’s diverse geography across the 7 modot regions. the inspiration for the shape also came from the Missouri Division of Tourism logo. keeping an upbeat, yet radial and floral flare to the look.

look, tone and feel

the outcome of the website redesign helped condense space, simplify messaging, and improve user navigation, all under a new ltf. with the consolidation and truncation of a few modules, i was able to include a new section, “regions”, featuring the functionality of the new logo in effect. the vertical height of this update with the new section was very similar to the current site, ~160px shorter.
